We’re happy to support beautiful handcrafted works from Mayan Hands and Kazi.
Mayan Hands is a fair trade nonprofit organization dedicated to providing economic and educational opportunities to Mayan women and girls so that they can build sustainable futures for themselves, their families and communities, as they continue to live within the culture they cherish. They work with 14 cooperatives, about 200 women, living in different areas of the Guatemalan highlands.
KAZI creates sustainable living-wage jobs within African communities by showcasing the incredible talents of artisans all across Africa. Ethically crafted and locally sourced, artisans use natural fibers like sisal and raffia and organic dyes to sustainably weave baskets, wall art, tableware, planters, home decor, ornaments, and other woven products. Your purchase works towards alleviating poverty and unemployment in East Africa while supporting artisans in their pursuit of greater things. Kazi wall baskets and home decor starts with a global team of designers who work together with our African artisans to plan beautiful statements designed to fit in modern, thoughtfully styled homes.
