Mayan Hands

Fair Trade/Handwoven ‘Yesica’ Basket

Mayan Hands is a fair trade nonprofit organization dedicated to providing economic and educational opportunities to Mayan women and girls so that they can build sustainable futures for themselves, their families and communities, as they continue to live within the culture they cherish. They work with 14 cooperatives, about 200 women, living in different areas of the Guatemalan highlands.

Expertly handwoven of pajón, a native grass in Guatemala and trimmed with a pine needle accent, the Yesica Basket is just the right size to keep your desk or counter organized. Named for Yesica, our artisan partner in Sololá who designed this sweet basket.

  • Pajón, pine needles and raffia
  • 5" wide (4" at top opening) x 2 3/8" high
