Mountain Hollow

Agatized Turitella Shell - Morocco

$25

This fossil gastropod shell has been naturally replaced by chalcedony, preserving the original spiral form while transforming the shell into stone. Often described as “agatized,” the replacement material here is carnelian-colored chalcedony, giving the fossil its warm amber-brown translucence.

This specimen has a tapered spiral form with well-defined whorls, warm amber-brown coloration, and lighter mineralization tracing portions of the shell.
