Mountain Hollow
Carnelian Orb Necklace | Copper Chain
A polished Carnelian orb pendant electroformed in copper and suspended from a 20” soldered copper chain.
Carnelian is an orange to reddish-brown variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz. Its warm coloring comes primarily from iron oxides, and it has been valued for thousands of years, including in ancient Egyptian jewelry and decorative objects. This orb features rich amber-orange coloring with a distinctive curved band of white chalcedony running across the stone.
The pendant measures approximately 1.25” × 1.5”.

About Electroforming:
Electroforming is a slow, intentional process in which copper is grown around natural materials using electricity and time. Because the metal forms organically, each piece may show subtle variations and natural irregularities. Copper will naturally deepen in color over time, adding to the character of the piece.
