Dioptase — DR Congo
Dioptase is a copper silicate mineral known for its intensely saturated emerald to blue-green color. It typically forms small, sharply defined crystals and owes its vivid color to copper within its crystal structure. Although its color can resemble emerald, dioptase is a distinct mineral and is considerably softer.
This specimen features richly colored blue-green to emerald-green dioptase crystals across a contrasting natural matrix, with well-defined crystal faces visible from multiple angles. The combination of vivid color, crystalline structure, and exposed matrix gives the piece plenty of visual interest.
This is a thumbnail-sized mineral specimen presented in a clear Perky display box measuring 1.25 inches.
