A carbon-included Herkimer Diamond electroformed in copper and suspended from an 18” soldered copper chain.

Herkimer Diamonds are naturally occurring, double-terminated quartz crystals found in Herkimer County, New York. Despite their name, they are not true diamonds but are prized for their exceptional clarity and naturally faceted formations. Carbon inclusions create dark markings within the crystal, adding contrast and distinctive character.

The crystal measures approximately 13 × 8 mm.

About Electroforming:

Electroforming is a slow, intentional process in which copper is grown around natural materials using electricity and time. Because the metal forms organically, each piece may show subtle variations and natural irregularities. Copper will naturally deepen in color over time, adding to the character of the piece.
