Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral, commonly found in botryoidal masses and fibrous banding. It's a softer mineral that sometimes occurs together with Azurite and Chrysocolla. Similar to Lapis Lazuli, it was used by the ancient Egyptians for jewelry and in powdered form for eye shadow.
