This specimen comes from Mt. Malosa, Malawi, a locality known for producing beautifully formed smoky quartz crystals. It features a cluster of several distinct terminated crystals with glassy faces, rich smoky coloration, and areas of white matrix remaining at the base. The varying crystal heights and overlapping growth give the specimen beautiful dimension, while its clarity allows light to pass through portions of the smoky brown crystals.
